PROPHETIC WORD - IT IS TIME FOR 'STOP MOTION'

The Lord spoke to me and said, “I want my people to live in stop motion”.

Stop motion is a filming technique that involves photographing and then physically manipulating objects within a frame. As each frame is played in sequence, the technique creates the effect of an object moving itself. (Think Wallace and Gromit & Shaun the Sheep movies).

The Lord said: “My people often feel like they have been in a season of starting then stopping. They feel they have no traction because it just feels like a whole bunch of interruptions".

You might feel this way if:

•The vision God gave you is delayed;

•Every step is a battle and takes a long time;

•You started, and something has slowed you down.

But when the Lord was speaking to me about this, He was not concerned.  He had a different perspective on the 'stop'.

He showed me himself as the producer, and at every frame, He was the one putting a pause on it, moulding, shaping and moving each article that was in the shot. He was patient, and He was ok with the time frames.

He then said to me: “If my people would just wait for me to move the pieces, for me to do the remodelling and for me to move them, it would be a perfect shot every time. But they keep rushing forward; they keep going ahead of me the producer, and it means I can’t get the right frame.”

I sense that living in stop motion is important to God right now. And He wants you to know you have not failed if you have had a delay in your life.

Your delays are not inconveniences. Your delays are creating a beautiful storyboard of your life for generations to see, appreciate and enjoy.

I hear the Lord say: “I am thinking of the whole picture, not just one scene. If you feel stuck in a moment, don’t worry, it’s me just getting the frame just right. If you allow me to position you and wait for my timing, I will do things in such a way that not only allows you to succeed but will also give you a story that others can learn and enjoy."

Stop motion is actually The Lord saying, “I will slow you down to speed you up!”

So do not be discouraged by the delay: delay is not denial -you are being "set up".

•Pausing helps you see the big picture because you remove yourself from motion.

•It gets you out of the rat race.

•Pausing means you have to be present because it requires reflection.

•Pausing brings the awareness of God moving in your life: “Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

•Pausing gives you strength: Is 40:31 "Those that wait on the lord will renew their strength".

•The battle is won in those moments of stillness: Exodus 14:14 “The LORD will fight for you while you keep still.”

Don’t give up in the stop motion - there is power in the pause.
